Victor Young’s much loved Stella by Starlight receives our groove-based interpretation next and we’ve coupled it with an original entitled Fettling Blues. I’ve been intrigued by the variety of suggestions as to regional meanings of ‘fettling’! It’s a cheerful nod toward my roots in the north of England.
