The title track Visions and Vistas is a more complex piece, with an intricate 64 bar melody weaving through various harmonic colours. It’s one of my favourites - partly because of the airy improvisational approach over the underlying form but also it’s a good example of the musical intuition of my colleagues. It’s a privilege when little has to be said about the music and the nuances seem to work themselves out as we play!
